Telematics Alert Filtering and Mapping Add-on

For customers who have purchased the Asset Alert Import, the Alert Filtering and Mapping Add-on provides additional functionality by enabling Fleet Operations staff to map desired alerts to trigger:

  1. Manually map an alert to a configurable repair description.
    • You can also configure alerts so they trigger the creation of Pending Repairs.
  2. Set alerts to be imported as Service Items to be easily managed within Service Request & Alerts action, under the section for Alerts.
  3. Sending a notification via email and or text.
  4. You can also use this mapping tool to identify any alert which you do NOT want to trigger any action to only show up on the Alerts tab in the Asset module.

Alert data is by default accessible in multiple areas to include the Asset module under the tab “Alerts”, under the Maintenance module action “Service Request & Alerts,” in Technician Workstation’s Work Order Repair screen “Alerts” button, as well as in the W343 Alerts & Service Request standard report.

This add-on also provides ease of use by permitting the user to easily sort and filter for mapping to repairs. In addition, if your Telematics vendor does not provide alert descriptions that are easy to comprehend, FASTER can provide a reference to the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) codes for cross reference purposes. (To use SAE’s codes, a separate fee will need to be paid directly to SAE to purchase the license rights.)
